When and where are the rehearsals?
Rehearsals are held roughly every week during term time on Monday evenings. Please arrive any time after 7:30pm in order to being playing at 7:45pm. We aim to finish promptly at 9:30pm.
The rehearsals for Autumn term 2024 are:
Rehearsals are normally held at Byron House (Junior School) of St John's College School, 63 Grange Road, Cambridge, CB3 9AA or in the Music Hall at King's College School on West Road, Cambridge, CB3 9DN. Final details are also circulated in information emails - see the sign-up form below.

- Sunday 17th November – 2 – 5 pm in Hinsley Hall, Senior House, St John's College School, 73 Grange Road, CB3 9AA.
- Monday 18th November – Byron House, St John's College School.
- Sunday 24th November – 2 – 5 pm in Hinsley Hall followed by the concert at 7pm.–

What standard do I need to be?
We do not require members to audition, however we recommend a Grade 6 or higher to meet the demands of the repertoire.
We expect members to practise their parts between rehearsals to achieve rewarding performances and constant improvement.
We ask members to maintain high standards of timeliness, orchestral discipline and respect during rehearsals.

How much does it cost?
Current subscription fees are £25 per term/£60 for the year. Potential new members are welcome to attend a rehearsal prior to making any financial commitment. Concessionary membership fees are available to those who are not in a position to pay. Please use the contact form to request this.
Do I need to bring anything to rehearsals?
Please bring a music stand with you - and your enthusiasm!

Is there car parking?
At St John's College School there is normally parking in front of Byron House.
At King's College School, you are welcome to park in the drive but please do not park in front of the school buildings.
